balloons and a reunion.

For the last three weeks I have been visiting this special, super talented, awesome lady in San Diego. I feel so lucky to call her my friend and one of my favourite people. Deb's husband was deployed in Iraq for 7 months, and much of the three weeks was filled with preparing for his homecoming and wrapping up her work so they can make a big move to Kansas. As crazy as this time was for them I enjoyed every minute of it. Here are two of my favourite photos from the visit. As calm as they might look, the behind the scenes footage would be anything but, it was a little bit hilarious.

I had the privilege of capturing Steve's homecoming on my final day with the family. It was such a treat to get to see them all together again, each one of them was just about bursting with happiness.

Aren't they just the cutest?

Deb, thank you thank you thank you. Love you a million!

I am visiting with some of my favourite people and sweetest friends right now, Leah Zawadzki and family in California. Today we went out on a photo taking excursion and the frozen yogurt shop we stopped in at on the way home was just begging to be photographed with her little girl in her matching pink spotty shirt. More photos from this visit to come soon!

a soon to be big sister.

I have known and photographed this little darling since she was just a couple of months old. she is one of the sweetest, spunkiest two and a half year olds you could meet... and it goes without saying... just beautiful! very soon she will be joined by a baby brother, so this morning we got together to capture this special time. I especially love the shots with her and her gorgeous mama :) I can't wait to meet this little guy! warning: lots and lots of pictures below! I couldn't pick just a few
