I was going over some favourite 90's kids movies the other day to suggest for Leah's kiddos. One that made the list was Little Rascals. I get the feeling that would be right up these guys alley... The light here is so amazing here at this time of year. Pretty and pastel, with sharp long shadows. I wish I could bottle it up.

I am currently on a whirlwind trip to California to help my wonderful and talented friend Leah shoot a wedding, with the added bonus of a long overdue visit. Last night was the first time I've experienced a proper American Halloween! It's pretty low key back home, and as a kid we didn't do it at all, so it was fun to see all the excitement and costumes and fun little traditions like pumpkin carving and neighborhood get-togethers. Owl costume by Leah (I told you she was talented!)
the amount of loot they scored was INSANE. I don't think I've seen so much candy in my life!
Meet Ruby. She was my very own dog for about a month, when I first got her seven years ago. Then the rest of the family started claiming her. She still lives with them at home, but she comes and visits every so often. When she does this is her favourite little spot.
